Packaging, Woodworking, Sculpture
A sculpture and series of packaging designed to point out the predatory messaging of modern advertising, and the products that benefit most from these messages. The packages themselves expose what these brands are truly selling.

As I was working through the planning of my sculpture and the story I wanted to tell, I began to realize two things that became instrumental in the way I presented my message.
First: there will always be advertising. There will always be products, and when there is not a need for these products one will be created.
Second: The consumer is far more powerful than they realize. If we as consumers are more mindful of the information we are given, and the effect is has on our behavior, we can decide what products stay on our shelves, and what messages proliferate our everyday lives.
